Tasting Notes

Pale straw colour with notes of white nectarine, pineapple, yellow apple, and dried herbs. 14 months on the gross lees adds additional complexity of brioche and creamy texture. The palate is rich, with a lovely balance of lingering lemon and lime peel, and a structure that supports ageing. It begs to be opened, but this wine will age for 3 – 6 years from vintage. Enjoy.

Laibach Pinotage 2018

Laibach-Pinotage

Tasting Notes

Deep dark colour. A very expressive nose with mulberry, raspberry and wild strawberry by abundance. Not too much influence of wood on the nose or palate. Tannins are soft and juicy, the overall balance judged to perfection. A wine showing the versatility of this South – African grape. It is elegant with a light structure and a long lingering aftertaste. A wine to keep improving the next 4 – 8 years after harvest.

Laibach Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Laibach-Cab-Sauvignon

Tasting Notes

The nose is more classical with red berry, cigar box and pencil shavings in abundance. Medium bodied with quite a bit of tannin and a long lingering aftertaste.

The wine is bone dry with a great acid level and a lot of ageing potential. It is not your blockbuster alcohol bomb but rather a classic wine with good ageing potential. A wine very typical of the vintage. Enjoy.
